The body tells a story. It is, in fact, a living autobiography.

Hello and Welcome to my Somatic
Psychotherapy Practice!

It would be my honor to walk with you on your journey as you are bravely navigating your fears, pain, and livelihood.  The way I work is shaped by your unique needs and goals as my priority is to help you move towards the values and dreams that are most important to you.  I want to help you find congruence between the life you live and the life you’ve always wanted.

Somatic Psychotherapy offers an integrated and holistic approach to healing change.  Utilizing the body as a creative vehicle of exploration, I invite one’s attention to the present moment experience.  Sensations, movement, gestures, muscle patterns, and breath have a great deal of information about who we are, where we have been, and what we need in order to heal.

Using a relational and anti-oppression lens, I am interested in the ways you have developed coping mechanisms as a small child in efforts to stay connected to your surroundings and to maintain a sense of safety.  Sometimes these strategies continue to be useful in our lives and sometimes we can feel stuck in them.  In session, we will explore the ways these coping mechanisms have taken shape in your body and in your relationships.  Together, we will practice observing them with compassion and explore new ways of being in the world.
